TWO STREAMING CONCERTS OF RICCARDO MUTI AND ORCHESTRA GIOVANILE LUIGI CHERUBINI FROM TEATRO ALIGHIERI (RAVENNA, ITALY)
On Sunday 22nd and 29th November at 11:00 am (Italian time) on ravennafestival.live in collaboration with riccardomutimusic.com (then on demand for 15 days).
Maestro, his orchestra and the theater: enough to get back one’s joy in making music together and sharing it with everyone, everywhere.
Concerts were made possible thanks to the collaboration of Ravenna Festival, Fondazione Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and RMMUSIC, with the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna.
The programs chosen by Maestro Muti reflect his attention to the new generation and love for the Country of music: the first concert is dedicated to Schubert, with his symphonies No. 3 and No. 8 (Unfinished), which Orchestra Cherubini performed for its very first concert in 2005.
The second concert recalls Italian melodies from Martucci’s Notturno, to Puccini’s Preludio sinfonico and pages by Verdi from the Symphony of Nabucco, to the Dances from Macbeth and the Symphony from I vespri siciliani.
The young musicians give back to the Italian city of Ravenna (more and more felt like home), that cultural beating heart which is the Theatre, through two Sundays of music, virtually opening back its doors to spectators from all over the world.
Wearing head-phones will allow a better sound experience recreating the immersive sound from Teatro Alighieri: up to now, one of the eight places in the world (and the only one in Italy) where the innovative d&b Soundscape En-space technology was applied.
RMMUSIC Newsletter Subscribers will receive as a gift the access to exclusive content from the rehearsal and backstage of the concert.
Concerts will be available also on ANSA.it for the “ANSA per la cultura”
